This newly developed Retention Action Plan will be used as our guide to coordinate student success and retention efforts after being vetted by the PACUR and approved by the President’s Cabinet.
This section will highlight schools, departments, and individuals making significant contributions to student success and retention and they will be featured in the Daily bi-weekly under the moniker “Retention Wednesdays.”
Based on new CARES ACT funding we are working on the implementation of a scholarship to support the persistence and retention of students. Through the Pathways Scholarship, the college was able to offer a certain number of students support for paying their spring 2021 balance, which allowed them to register for the fall 2021 semester. We will track this cohort of students to measure any positive impact this effort had on retention.
