What We Know
Since the fall of 2015:
- Commuter students have a higher retention rate than residential students
- Female students have higher retention rates than their male counterparts
- According to 2019, Noel Levitz College Student Inventory 57% of the students who completed the survey demonstrated a proneness to dropping out
- According to 2020, Noel Levitz College Student Inventory 62% of the students who completed the survey demonstrated a proneness to dropping out
- Based on student survey responses, support staff were provided access to the data and trained on techniques to communicate with students to increase engagement, academic achievement, persistence, and retention
- Students have indicated the following reasons for leaving the College:
- The desired academic program is not available, disengaged from the College community, lack of financial resources to fund education.
Since 2016:
- 38% of first-time, full-time freshman have left the College after one year
- 53 % of first-time, full-time freshman have left the College after two year
